Debbie Shrom

Founder & Artistic Director

Debbie has been teaching since 1976 when she opened Debbie’s School of Dance. A lifelong resident of Quarryville, Debbie Shrom began her dance career at Alicia Rush’s dance school. Dancing since the age of five, she has studied dance education with Dance Masters in New York City, completed course work at Franklin and Marshall College, and attended workshops with The Pennsylvania Ballet Company. Debbie has choreographed hundreds of dances over the years and currently serves as the Solanco High School musical choreographer. Debbie’s studio has established a reputation for quality dance, exciting choreography, professionalism in the field, and respect for others.

Tiffany Shrom

Assistant Artistic Director, Team Coach, & Instructor

Tiffany graduated summa cum laude in May of 2020 from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance. While there, she also received her certification in Yoga. Tiffany was named the Outstanding BFA Dance Major of 2020 by the SRU dance department.
Over the years, Tiffany has performed or appeared in, Movies by Movers with the American Dance Festival, Koresh Dance Company Showcase Series in Philadelphia, Prima Theater in Lancaster, FORGE Dance Intensive, and at Gus Giordano in Chicago.
Since graduating, she has been a performing company member of the West Virginia Dance Company, Emme Dance Collective, and LUNA! She has presented choreography in the Artistic Edge Dance Company Merging Artists Showcase, Labyrinth Dance Company Virtual Showcase, the Trust Dance Festival, and Fluorescence (Emme Dance Collective company show).
She currently teaches at her home studio, Debbie’s School of Dance, and does extensive choreography for their competition team. Tiffany has also served as a competition judge from time to time for StarQuest and Elite Dance Challenge.

Makenzie Trimble

Competition Team Co-Manager/Coach, & Instructor

Makenzie has been a dance instructor at Debbie’s School of Dance since 2015. She is a former student of the studio and is a competition team alumna. Her areas of expertise include beginner ballet, beginner tap, beginner jazz, intro lyrical/Contemporary, pre-hip-hop, advanced lyrical, advanced jazz, and advanced contemporary. Makenzie currently serves as a coach for the Mini & Senior teams, as well as co-manager of the competition teams. Makenzie has been awarded for her choreography at multiple competitions over the years and loves sharing her love for dance with the future generations. Prior to teaching, she was a student helper for four years which sparked a passion for teaching. Outside of DSOD, Makenzie works as an office manager for a large animal vet clinic and has an independent small business doing wedding hair. Makenzie loves spending time with her husband and cats!

Kaitlyn Nolt

Office Manager

Growing up in Quarryville, Kaitlyn Nolt began dancing at DSOD at age three and continued through high school. She focused on ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and pointe throughout her years dancing at DSOD.  She began assistant teaching from 2009 until 2017 when she began teaching pre ballet, beginner ballet, beginner tap, pre jazz, the adult class and coordinating the annual parade dances and float.  As of 2023, Kaitlyn will focus more on balancing her work at the family farm with her growing family, accounting work for various companies, and assisting behind the scenes with office work at DSOD.

Erica Martin

Instructor

Erica studied dance at DSOD from age three until 18. Her study at the studio included Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip-hop styles. Her love of teaching began after spending 3 years student teaching tap and ballet with Miss Debbie. Erica began teaching at DSOD in 2001 and after moving out of state for many years, she returned in 2018 and began teaching again. She has taught Pre Ballet, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip-hop from beginner to intermediate levels. The past 2 years, Erica has coordinated the competition team's performance and float in the Solanco Parade. Erica is a graduate of Solanco High School and the University of Delaware. She enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, and doing all things creative.  She is very passionate about sharing her love of dance with the next generation of DSOD students!

Lindsay Brahl

Instructor & Team Coach

Lindsay began teaching at Debbie’s School of Dance in 2016. An alumna from West Chester University, she studied Theatre Performance with a minor in Dance. She is a member of the performing arts community as an actor and director. Lindsay has both directed and performed in various stage shows. She fell in love with performing at a young age as a dancer at DSOD. Her enthusiasm guides her teaching and she hopes to cultivate the love that she has for performing in her students at DSOD.

Julianna Billings

 Instructor

Julianna is a current instructor and DSOD Alumni. Previously, she had been assistant teaching for two years. Julianna was a dancer at DSOD for 15 years before graduating from Solanco High School in 2023. She took numerous recreational classes and has years of competition experience. In 2022, she was the Team Captain for all our competition teams along with being awarded Dancer of the Year! In October, she will be teaching Creative Movement; a class for 2-3 years old's that allows them to explore their imagination! Currently, she works at Pasquale's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in Lancaster. She's also a student at Harrisburg Area Community College majoring in Early Elementary Education and is our current Miss Red Rose City 2024 in the Miss America Organization.

Jyllian Law

 Instructor

Jyllian is excited for her first year of being officially staff at DSOD. She previously had been assisting classes since 2022. She has been dancing since she was 5 years old and began at Debbie’s in 2018. Jyllian was awarded the Inspirational Dancer Award her senior year, 2023. You may also see her waitressing at George’s Family Restaurant in Willow Street or traveling with Nexstar Talent Competition. She is excited for the upcoming year and to continue her dance career at DSOD!
